Citizenship As a creative collaboration between Businesses and communities
You have probably seen the news of what is currently happening in Haiti and asked yourself many questions; will this stop anytime soon? How can I help make the situation better? Is there any hope for Haiti? Those are legitimate questions in a crisis period, and it is ok to have mixed feelings about how we move forward from there. Several small and medium-sized businesses have been greatly affected, and many jobs have been lost in the process. Haiti is calling for change; people want more jobs, better education, and a developed and sustainable Haiti.
TIS team members committed a few years ago to be part of this change by working strategically with the private and public sectors to facilitate an inclusive plan that can help build impactful relationships between local and international investors, elected officials, and local business owners, and professionals. The end goal is to create a more sustainable job marketplace for the tourism sector, which ultimately will give families the power to thrive, and Haiti’s economy the ingredients necessary to grow.
